Colour Block Knit: Day or Night

Fashion Bloggers Sugarlips Apparel
It's quite easy for anyone to love jersey knits because of it's versatility and remarkable stretch. It may have a casual or sophisticated aesthetic all contingent upon how it's styled when worn. I was excited to receive this colour block knit dress from Sugarlips apparel, which worked well since I was on the move!

How to wear colour block trend
I love how one style can look entirely different on anyone, for example, take a simple LBD or a plain white T-shirt! I believe this dress will become one of my summer favourites since it's incredibly easy to wear, and delicately bold. Here's how I styled this fun hi-lo dress  from dashing out to a work meeting, running errands throughout the day, and even an early night outing.

I added my girly teddy bear belt for a feminine day look, then lace tights, a pendant, and strappy heels for the evening.

What do you think? Have you sported a (softer) colour blocked style recently?

  9. I really love it with and without the blazer.  I can't wear tights right now (honestly, it is so hot that even ones as sheer as these feel invasive!).  You always looks so pretty!

That dress looks so drapey and comfy! I have been wearing lots of mint lately but don't really worry so much about color blocking. I love the pale coral color that's coming in though, so maybe this summer there will be more color blocking action in my wardrobe.

  54. That is a beautiful dress! I don't do much color-blocking because I haven't found a way that I think it looks good on me yet. I'm short and curvy and sometimes colorblocking can make me look ridiculous. You, on the other hand, clearly have a perfect tall, graceful, willowy figure that could pull off pretty much any look! I'm deeply envious. Hehe.

Oh, and I love that with a few quick changes, this dress could very easily be a night on the town look! Brilliant!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. xoxo

  56. hehe, you're two sweet! Thank you for your lovely comment. Colour blocking can be a bit overwhelming, but I've found it works best (when you start out) by implementing it in small ways, even by jewellery or shoes! It doesn't necessarily have to be [colour blocked] soley in our clothing. This has worked for me, but you know I adore colour! -xo Happy weekend to you Jennifer!
