Most of us know of someone who has lost a loved one or a friend from cancer. I know that I have! Although it’s never easy when experiencing loss of any kind there’s a multitude of ways to help raise awareness. The month of October has came and left us, but that doesn’t mean that we have to stop thinking about breast cancer or even supporting charitable organisations trying to make a difference in that sector.
I was pleased to
be asked to formally participate in the
initiative that the Tommy Hilfiger brand is doing; raising awareness in support
of breast cancer. You may have seen the campaign last month, which showcased the
limited-edition leather handbag.
With the brand’s sixth consecutive year partnership
with Breast Health International (BHI), this year the Tommy Hilfiger team
collaborated with Charlotte Gainsbourg and Drew Barrymore, in support of the
campaign. The campaign itself, photographed by Barrymore has already made an immense impact. The tote is inspired by
the iconic colours and DNA of the Hilfiger brand, the design embraces a modern sophisticate
with it's rose goldtone hardware, yet the bag also has a classic silhouette.
Making a
difference in women’s lives across the world has the ability to change you as well as the person you’re
helping, whether it’s passing on a hug, giving them a smile, or even a small
donation.

Helping women
and inspiring women is very important to me, and what a stylish way to do it
with a classic bag supporting a great cause such as this. $100 of every limited-edition bag sale will go
directly to the Fund for Living, which
will assist women who have breast cancer as well as their families with
financial aid or other related needs that aren’t necessarily taken care of
by their health insurance programmes.

ReplyDeleteThank you Daniella! I know, I just adore the handbag too! Hope you have a marvellous weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sam. I was hounoured to be involved in this cause.
ReplyDeleteI lost my grandma (more like my second mom, she helped raise me!) to cancer...and so value the efforts others make to raise money an awareness. We need more research...and more people to lend a hand to those who are suffering through cancer.
