Art Inspired: Fashion Potpourri

We took loads of photos from the countryside, but instead of boring you with those perhaps I will save some for a rainy day. Here's one of the outfits that I wore for a breakfast feast. I figured that adding layers would be a fun way to release an extended hi-five to spring and welcoming of summer sunshine, although slightly breezy.
How to mix prints fashion blogger
This outfit was actually partly inspired by this painting that I saw some time ago, but didn't think about it again until recently. I really wanted to remix my cardigan again since I adore the emerald colour, additionally I wanted to have fun with prints and patterns.

It's a mere nature medley of patterns, but in an abstract sense ... also a great way to explore and understand part of my art perspective relating to my wardrobe. Art is all around us, and I am truly inspired everyday in some way. What about you?

How does art influence your life? When is the last time that you visited an art exhibit or museum?

Art is my world...every day I'm inspired by it!! I think it's very important & if there was no art, I wouldn't know what to do. You look smashing, love the top and skirt, so pretty. I hope you have a fantastic weekend xx

What a pretty outfit and fabulous inspiration, too.
I often visit our town centre art gallery but can't say Damien Hurst's formaldehyde sheep or Polly Morgan's taxidermy have inspired me to dress! xxx

  6. First of all you look amazing. I love your art inspired outfit. Why did I never had the idea to style a dress as a skirt. I have to try this too. I can't really say that art inspires my outfits. Maybe unintentional. It's probably sue to the fact that I never have time. Wish you a great weekend Madison!!!

  10. I love how your outfit was inspired by art - I do that from time to time too, or even an album cover :-) Sadly it's been far too long since I've been in a museum - that's what I miss most about living in the city. All the mix of greens with the pop of the purse and array of prints is perfect eye candy...love it! xo Marisa

  31. You know what, I'm really terrible I've not been to an art museum or exhibition since I was probably in school. I've passed through but not really looked at any of the art. I love the way you combined the print, the green and the yellow, it all works beautifully.

  32. Thanks for your comment. I agree, living in the city does help, especially with going to art shows. I try to go to a museum or a showing even when I'm away on business, which helps with inspiration. Enjoy your weekend dear Marisa. xx

I love this look! You've done the pattern clashing so beautifully - normally the mashed up mixed up print thing that seems to be the order of the day doesn't do it for me but the delicacy of the prints and the green throughout your pieces ties everything together.
