Style Files // Living in Colour

Wednesday

I live in colour, vibrant colour! It's no secret, but like my art and culinary interests, my fashion is just as diverse. I wear black, red, orange, teal, and everything in-between. So, when the season of spring and summer comes around, I get excited to see the colour variance in Mother Nature. But, also because I am continuously inspired by bold hues.

I can be influenced from florals (which, I never tire of), home furnishings, or museum masterpiecesThe list is endless and there's always a reason to be inspired.

This jacquard-knit cardigan was an immediate win as soon as I saw it. I know for some it's a busy pattern, but it's really like nothing else. It's all about how you wear it--wearing colour, and expressing your unique personal style and interpretation. The spirited pattern was influenced by North African mosaics and tiles.

In the Gudrun Sjoden spring-summer collection, I have several favourites, which I shall show you very soon. However, two pieces that I adore are these brogues, and this cardigan. I cannot stop staring at the colour of these shoes, and they feel like butter … wait, maybe you didn't catch that. Did I mention how buttery soft they are? Vegetable tanned leathery goodness that's comfortable and in a perfect colour, who knew?

Updates & Airport Diaries:
I am writing the rest of this post on my iPad, and as I type this I believe I've spotted another blogger in the midst of my gate change. I received a head nod from said "blogging stranger," who also just asked if he could use the plug next to me. Yes, my predictions are correct, I knew it! It was all about his shoes! And, although not a traditional blogger (his words), he begins to talk about his tech-savvy micro-blogging tales and hasn't the slightest idea that I am writing this ... yet.

We exchange blogging stories, and share a laugh talking about changes in social media. Then, he gave me a few new apps to check out. So, I do hope to share about those with you in the near future. Life is grand that way, isn't it? You never know who you can inspire or be inspired by.

have been a occupied with some fun projects, so hold tight, I promise I will make it to your beautiful spaces very soon. In the meantime, do you have any summer holiday plans yet? I am getting ultimately inspired by this location.
