Style Options: House of Fraser

Monday

With spring in full effect there's a couple of diverse events that I am scheduled to attend, all of which will need formal and semi-formal attire. Maxi dress styles are typically a good fallback essential to have in my wardrobe, especially since they come in a multitude of fabric textures, and style ranges than they used to.

Last year and the year prior, I attended very unique weddings, including a couple of beach weddings. But, as I mentioned earlier, this year more traditional weddings, in addition to a formal anniversary event will take place.

I have found several versions of what I will likely wear to the weddings, however for less formal receptions, and party occasions it can often be tricky. And, if you're attending formal events with your significant other or date, coordinating in the way that you want can be a daring chess move, or a game of fashion fun.

House of Fraser has such a marvellous selection when it comes to designer dress styles, and I've only merely put together a handful of my favourites to share with you.

Above: Damsel-Lavender Oasis dress, Eliza J-Crushed Taff w/removable jacket, Dickins & Jones Fit & Flare,  Chesca Applique dress, Quiz Royal Blue embellished maxi dress, Adrianna Papell Evening Gown, Gina Bacconi Spot Maxi, and Lipsy London-Printed Bodycon dress.

These dresses are various styles that can suit different occasions for both, formal and less than formal events. Since spring weather can be quite volatile, I did include a dress with a removable jacket. This would even be a great concept on a chiffon or satin gown with a lace jacket.

I have noticed that many of my formal gowns tend to be black, and navy, with the exception of a multicoloured printed maxi dress. Oh, the irony, given the fact that I often wear bold, vibrant, and happy colours!

Some of my favourites are vintage silhouettes, and styles with lace or patterned floral. It has been a few months since the last formal event I attended (including Christmas/New Year's), which means I am looking forward to spring and future evening wear events, at the very least to add some glamour to my formal.
