Christmas Ornaments & Celebrations

Tuesday

Every year, I usually change my themed decoration for the holidays. Last year, it was a Scandinavian concept in a rustic setting. This year it’s woodland-style décor. Cracker Barrel has a wonderful range of ornaments, accessories, and accents for homeware and for all of your Christmas themed décor.

In partnership with our friends at

Last month, I was invited and had the pleasure to dive into their Elegant Collection—literally, holiday ornaments in abundance—with a motley festive range of intricately designed pieces to love, as well as playful styles that even children can adore.

It was quite difficult to select which pieces to use but after careful counting and separatinga blended concept of slightly rustic and elegant came to mind. Fortunately, this theme really works with our current décor, because for the rest of the pieces that aren’t lilac, iridescent or purple, most can merge in my woodland theme just fine.

Some of my top picks include these stunning doves, the snow globes, darling teacup ornaments, these gorgeous snowflakes, and silver crowned dancing snowwomen. Pretty much all of the handmade-styled hearts will make you smile. There truly is something for everyone in this collection, from crosses to angel wings.  It was also great to get to play around with creating my own scenes; a semi-starry night dramatic scene was in the works at my station. When I turned the lights off the glowing angels made the whole scene look as if I had a fog machine ... the result was an unintentional marvel. There are various pieces from metal to glass ornament styles as well.

I wanted to take snapshots of some of the ornaments up-close for you—many items were sparkled or iridescent and looked magical—hopefully, you can see how detailed and special these are. This is only about eighty percent of them. For now, I will let you view the rest of the ornaments and décor for this range below. I found old vellum paper with snowflakes and used recycled brown paper for wrapping the gifts, then used their themed purple sparkled ribbon.

It was good fun spending time doing this before the actual holidays, decorating and celebrating, from the Cracker Barrel team. Do let me know if you have a favourite ornament. I’d love to know what pieces you love!

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? What do you think of this collection and my styling?

This snowflake was enormous so I decided to use it as a decorative tray. It's well-made and made with metal pieces.
