Country Living // Home Collection

Wednesday

Just before the new year, Cracker Barrel and Country Living magazine announced their partnership with an exclusive range of home goods. The result is a medley of charming pieces that are timeless as much as they are inviting. The line was inspired by the magazine’s overall aesthetic, delightful and warming; there’s also nuances merging the traditional with a touch of modernity.

Country Living is a well-branded publication that has a dedicated readership and loyal following. This particular partnership allows fans and admirers to have – affordable pieces with a farmhouse-style or rustic aesthetic – the same relaxed charm of both brands in their home. I’m honoured to feature several items from the new collection.

The collaboration could not have been a better match – these are two brands that personify comfort with family-friendly living environments. "We're so excited to collaborate with the talented team at Cracker Barrel and to bring Country Living to life in readers' homes," said Country Living editor-in-chief, Rachel Hardage Barett.

In the Country Living home collection, there are home décor pieces, including wall art as well as farmhouse-inspired styles of kitchenware and more. From embroidered pillows to bakeware. Here's a glimpse at the line of goods – perfectly suitable for cottage-living or even a contemporary kitchen space. The choice is up to you!

The full range also includes the following: pet accessories, classic tableware, apparel, and other vintage-inspired pieces. Two personal favourites were the box-style drawers (I used them for cutlery, flowers and fresh herbs) and paint-spatter containers.

The limited-edition Lodge cast-iron skillet is a lovely addition to the Country Living and Cracker Barrel partnership; it features a raised "Blue Ribbon Kitchen" Country Living award design on the bottom of the pan.

This nostalgic pan is foundry seasoned and specifically designed to be passed on through generations. You can quickly cook comforting classic dishes or desserts right in the pan, for everyone to enjoy. Since we had chock-full of blueberries from the previous season’s harvest, I froze loads of them, and you might have noticed, I’ve been making everything with berries. The texture and style, between a cobbler and a classic berry pud – both succulent and delicious – I also used some rye flour with toasted Irish oats to make it extra tasty
