Winter Wellness Guide [dōTerra Holiday]

Monday

Hello darlings and welcome to November!

Is it too early to say tis the season yet? I am more excited than usual this year for some reason, and whilst it is officially time to actually start talking about the festive season, if you’ve been following me online then you know that I started a few weeks ago. To ensure that you have plenty of time to think about holiday gifting, this post is a good dose of wellness giftables for the festive season and beyond.

I will also have a full-on festive heaping of other posts coming soon, including some great holiday DIYs, and delicious gourmet goods for the whole family to partake! At the minute, dōTERRA is shouting fa, la, la, la, la all through their offices, as they have just launched a holiday catalogue. Here are four items to consider using in the household — a few that I am using now and some (coming in a post later on) I am excited to review and use soon.

I am obsessed with mists and linen sprays which I have mentioned before, however, this one was slightly different. It's blended with the kitchen sink of essential oils ... not too shabby at all, I reckon. This linen mist has Roman chamomile, vetiver, vanilla bean absolute, Hawaiian sandalwood, marjoram, lavender, cedarwood, ylang-ylang and Ho Wood (or Cinnamomum Camphora, is known as a calming and fragrant peaceful oil that can be substituted for rosewood essential oil). I have already used this spray several times but I think I will probably use this more for refreshing guest rooms, or blankets over the holidays. It's subtle enough for those uses.
Wool dryer balls are better than plastic ones (for eco-friendly enthusiasts) and if you're familiar with using wool dryer balls in general then you know they are energy efficient, much quieter and reduce waste. These should be helpful to me because I don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets because I was always allergic. So, I am eager to give these a go! The set comes with wintergreen essential oil, so I might think of flavoured chewing gum when I smell these, but who knows?

*The handcrafted wool dryer balls come with a cotton bag holder and provide needed jobs and income to ameliorate the economic well-being of women in Kathmandu, Nepal.

This hand soap combines the essential oil, Holiday Peace, a warm earthy and a very pine-like blend of Siberian Fir, Grapefruit, Douglas Fir, Frankincense, Himalayan Fir, and Vetiver. The essential oil itself is a clean outdoorsy seasonal aroma that can be diffused for that 'festive' feeling, cue the instrumental holiday music because I’m not ready for the actual singing quite yet!
