Must-Have Artisan Boards This Season [John Boos]

Thursday

Last month, you witnessed me prepping for the holidays and even in October if you follow me on Instagram, then you already saw some spirited posts awaiting the season of Advent with beauty calendars and more. Now we are pretty much in full-on holiday mode. So, put on your Sunday’s best garb, bring an empty plate, and get ready!

I have three parties this week, one being a work gig, and an additional holiday brunch the following week, however, I am not planning all of them (I’m chuffed about that), actually, I am only hosting, cooking and decorating for 2 parties. Believe me, before Christmas, that is plenty!

There’s still much to do – so many menus to print – and bring out the glistening linens for tabletop accents, all of the rolling pins out for dough-rolling, and more gilded cutlery for fine dining. But, it will all start and end with butcher blocks and cutting boards; from prepping to presenting. Each one has its place and positioned rightly for distinct functions in and around the kitchen.

John Boos Artisan Boards
John Boos & Co. has a new collection, including artisan boards for the savvy cook. I am featuring this one with a finger grip cut-out, ideal for hanging the board, picking it up and transporting it for mobile use in the kitchen or elsewhere.

Holiday Cheer + Giveaway!
In celebration of my ten-year blog anniversary, and because I am in such a wonderful holiday mood, John Boos & Co., a long-time sponsor of this blog has agreed to help spread some love with me in giving away one marvellous Boos Block Artisan Board.

One lucky winner will receive this Boos Block Artisan Board in the maple colour and it comes in two shapes. View the details here.

I am quite excited for you to try out this edge-grain constructed board! It’s a rather new addition for me in the kitchen and comes with a built-in juice groove on one side. The juice groove is exceptionally helpful when cutting meats or any foods with excess essence, essentially juices will slide with ease right in the inverted impressions of the board. Brilliant.

How would you use this board for the holiday season, or who would you gift this to?
