Airport Chic

How To Dress Travel to Airport
Dear lovelies,
I know that many of you are dispersed throughout the world, so I will start by wishing you a happy summer or winter, depending on what part of the world you're in.
Top Style Bloggers Travelling Outfits
This past week I have been away again quite a bit attending weddings, (which I'm still not finished with for the year), as well as having a small dosage of visiting family. Summer for me brings the anxious RSVP notes from friends, fun parties, and gatherings at night right on the beach or at a charming venue with ... you guessed it, succulent cuisine (which I love). And this week was filled with exactly that!

Since, I have no patience at the moment to begin to sift through the countless uncategorised work papers that I should be doing I thought I'd share with you my outfit that I wore for travelling. Of course all jewellery was kept in a mini-bag inside of my carryall. But, my outfit longed for accessories. Consequently after going through the TSA detection dance I was able to add a touch of colour to the ensemble.

I often get cold in airports so layering this tank with my striped v-neck worked perfectly for me. It's also so versatile, which helps because by merely adding heels, a patent belt, and rolling my sleeves up it creates a different look. I generally go for a maxi-skirt or skinny jeans when travelling because of how easy and changeable they are for my lifestyle: appropriate transitions from day to night.

Hi! New here on your blog and glad I found it :) Love stripes in general this season but black and white stripe is a classic! The belt adds 'omph' to the outfit.. well done!

I usually opt for a dress and wool tights in the airport (I get really chilly too) and then when I land I can pop off the tights and just be wearing the cute dress.

  5. I love to be as warm and layered as possible while travelling. Tights are a go-to and a shawl or long t-shirt and ballet flats b/c of having to constantly take off shoes.  You look stylish!

  6. Well, not to change, but I carry my favorite pairs of shoes in my handluggage, as well as jewellery andy favorite skirts... favorite things! In such a way that my handluggage was what I opened and got my things out of it - my main suitcase is still the way it came, 15 days ago - closed!!!!! Wishing you a happy summer!

  9. Depends on the season but I definitely dress for ease of getting through security although it doesn't always work that way.  But I do like to look fairly put together and not like I'm in my yoga pants as tempting as that may be :)  Love this look!  It's exactly what I would go for. xoxo

but jeans a white tee and a blazer can do the trick
I pack lots of jewellery options and shoes that that can change th look from day to night.

  30. You look super chic. I am a liiiiight packer my day clothes are pretty much my night clothes; so that is that. But I get super cold on planes too. I always bring a light jacket which is helpful because I don't have to pack one and keeps me warm on the plane.

P.S.- not done with weddings either!! i have one more destination wedding.

  32. Ahh yes I am the same way and love long layers when traveling!  It gets so cold on the plane!

  35. Madison you look so good! Adrienne and I just did our roundup post and it was Chic Traveling Outfit! I forgot to come remind you, I am so sorry! This month has been crazy. We are doing red, white and/or blue for July 3, in honor of Independence Day but the Union Jack has those same colors so I hope you will join us! Are the Olympics going to affect you like Veshoevius at Taxonomy of My Wardrobe, who lives in London? Oh, and I love the stripes with the wide patent belt. You are so very chic, my dear. XO, Jill

  36. Aww, thanks for your sweet comment Jill. No, fortunately it should not affect me at all, I will only be back in London for a conference for work. I cannot imagine battling the massive crowds. haha! I totally forgot about your event so yes, do remind me about the date for the next one, I will be happy to participate. Happy weekend to you. xx

Great look for traveling--love the stripes. Good idea to keep all the jewelry off until after the flight. I do that too. It's too much work with TSA otherwise.

  49. Oh my gosh you look amazing!! I definitely do not travel dressed so nicely - mostly because I really dislike flying (I flew SO much when I was a kid). I really love your necklace.

  50. Oh thanks hun! Yes, I suppose I've become almost immune to travelling. It's pretty much within my lifestyle, but I can understand not liking it sometime, as I loathe living out of a suitcase. lol :) Have a wonderful weekend. xx

  54. Very pretty travel outfit.  I love to wear trouser jeans and a crisp white shirt with a fitted cardigan.  If it's warm I'll wear capris and a top and flats. I fly  or take the train sometimes but I like to take road trips also so being comfortable and cute go hand in hand.

You being absolutely gorgeous and wearing this fabulous outfit at an airport makes me want to cry. I'm so lazy in my standard travel outfit: jeans and a t-shirt. Lol. Seriously, you must get a ton of admirers whenever you're traveling. :)
