Marvellous Marble // Party Décor

Friday

When it comes to wedding décor, dinner parties and nearly any other occasion to bring out table decorations, I do like to change it up. I love incorporating heaps of artistic elements and nothing makes my decorating heart flutter more than a marble theme.

I have not seen a party solely dedicated to marble and I couldn't believe that I had not thought of having a marble themed party in the past, especially since I'm quite obsessed with it, as you already know. Translating that vision to paper products sounds seemingly daunting, chiefly for a fellow real marble enthusiast. Although today, I do believe that we got it right!

I have been waiting to share this fun little shoot that I did—a charming blend of wedding inspirations and cosy send-off ideas for both the bride and groom. It was delightful to be able to pull some great pieces and then customise a few designs for this wedding series. You saw part one and here is the second part of the full marble spread.

It's difficult to dislike marble pieces or the likes of such a beautifully versatile stone.

To start the gathering off, I used gilded elements alongside romantic pearls and greenery. If you’re looking for a fun way to arrange place settings, try the addition of small boxes filled with romantic quotes and words of wisdom.

I put together some marble boxes to match the gold-rimmed plates and used blush and copper labels to break up and refine the mostly grey, ivory, and white colour storyIn my opinion, copper and blush accents elevate the marble concept to give it more of a luxe aesthetic.

When you're throwing a party or hosting an event such as this—a splendid time of camaraderie with friends and family (whether it be an intimate or large crowd), doesn't mean that you have to skimp on elegance. Albeit, this was a slight challenge for me because it isn't as lavish as it could be. However, to be fairthis tablescape does make for an easy clean-up afterwards whilst not compromising on style.

Since the initial concept went with the engagement gift theme, using varied marbling pieces with outdoor elements can really bring the whole table to another calibreI used the mix of preserved wood slices with miniature marble boxes, faux marble and a real marble board; it pairs well against the pale blue sateen tablecloth.

Okay, now, I will let you just view the images and let the theme speak for itself. I hope that you enjoy these as much as I do!
