Countryside Décor

Monday

Spring is upon us and what better than a little decorating inspiration to get you ready for your seasonal entertaining

Today, we are travelling to the Southern States to bring you pure country-style décor. The first stop is at the Cracker Barrel old country store—a wonderfully quaint shop that offers unique gifts from crockery to fashion accessories— and a restaurant serving country-style cuisine made from scratch.

In partnership with our friends at

I am featuring pieces their spring line from the Sanctuary Garden Collection, a lovely range of spring garden prints and patterns evoking nature. These stoneware pieces pair well with contrasts of metallic gold as I am showing here. They have a great weight and will hold heaps when it comes to a hearty country or farm-style meal. This line would also be excellent for any spring garden party, weekend entertaining or a sunny daytime gathering on a summery afternoon amongst the beauty of the outdoors.

To showcase the rustic countryside theme, I decided on using the accent hues of navy and ivory, as well as gold and greenthen blended vintage touches with an old milk can as the floral bouquet, and used natural elements of birch wood (this collection also comes in a green set.)

How beautiful is this blue garden dinnerware? I had such a fun time styling these pieces and incorporated a sort of elegant farmhouse garden décor theme. Even the birdhouse salt and pepper shakers come in a ceramic tree with birds perched atop.

The dinner plates come with sunflower blossoms on them, the salad plates carry the same motif with the addition of brown and yellow birds and pairs well with the retro-inspired tablecloth. What's more, these are all dishwasher friendly and microwave safe.

Get inspired by some of Cracker Barrel's diverse ranges including, the peacock collection, the laundry collection, the farmhouse collection or if you're feeling a tad motivated by French country style, the rooster collection. These dishes fit in quite perfectly with our cottage-style home, and I'm looking forward to using them more this season.

I hope you were inspired by this décor and garden collection.
