Head Covering Enthusiasm & Film

Monday

I have been watching several old black and white films lately, and getting inspired by costume dress. This was once a curiosity of mine, and something that I thought I'd fancy prior to attending university. However, when that actually happened, I found that it was not for me though, I'm still admiring!

There has been a great deal of passion for fine art, theater, and fashion in general passed on from my childhood. Consequently, the lasting impression that I draw from when creating seems to be intensified when I think about old runway shows, cultural inspiration, and a particular style of dressing.

Sometimes, I wish women would wear more hats, and long gloves, and men would be donned in their waistcoats, and beautifully tailored long coats everyday as they walk across the street. But, then I remember... that does happen in some places, yet not often enough, and not quite as it used to be called daily proper attire.

On that note, here is some personal motivation that I found as I continue about on my DIY stride for the week. Everyone knows that I absolutely love, love, love hats, and have quite an epic collection that I started many years ago, so I decided to make an effort at hat development. I've even bought 2 really great hat making books (patiently waiting for the post-master to deliver)! Additionally, I plan to start at least one of two hat projects very soon!

Of course, I will show you only if it turns out correctly!  :)
